• Username and team name - We may collect optional information like usernames and team names for winners.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely for the following purposes:

• Enabling gameplay and verifying scavenger hunt completions

• Saving your progress within the app

• Enhancing user experience and app functionality

• Preventing cheating or abuse of the app’s features

• Communicating with users regarding the app, updates, or issues

• We use your zipcode to help show you public hunts available in your area.

 

3. Camera Access:
Our app requires access to your device’s camera so you can take pictures to complete scavenger hunt tasks. We only access the camera when you choose to take a photo within the app.

Photos:
Photos you take within the app may be:

• Only the hunt creator will have access to each team’s photos; they will have the ability to look at them during the hunt and show them afterwards.

 

• When you submit a photo for a hunt task, it will be uploaded to our servers if needed for game functionality, progress tracking, or judging. Photos are only kept on the server for one month after the hunt completion.

• Photos taken by your device will be stored on your device until you delete them.

 

3. Permissions

When you install and use ScavengerHunts.App, you will be asked for permission to access your device’s camera and location. You can manage or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. However, doing so will prevent you from completing tasks that require photos and/or location.

 

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party service of Supabase for photo storage, analytics, and game hosting, they are contractually obligated to safeguard your data and not use it for any unrelated purposes.

 

6. Children’s Privacy

ScavengerHunts.App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

 

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the data we collect

• Request deletion of your data

• Withdraw consent at any time
